Synopsis

I really enjoyed this book, Michelle has done a great job with this book. There were a lot of different situations going on but Michelle never strayed far from the main storyline. I felt it was dragged out a little but there was always something going on which kept me interested and then it hit its peak and I couldn’t put it down I just wanted to find out what was going to happen with Lacey and Caleb and Lacey’s Father. Michelle had me guessing everyone in this book and even right up until the person was exposed I still never guessed that person, I love that in books.

I love how Michelle built the characters they are easy to relate to. I recommend this book if you love reading romance and suspense! I look forward to getting started on Michelle’s next book.

Review

Where do I start? I seriously love Felicia! Masked Encounters is book 1 in a series of 5 Novellas, Felicia sent me a copy before it was even edited and I really enjoyed it. There is Korah a strong minded girl who isn’t interested in love or anything boys at the moment due to a terrible relationship previously. Then there is Dane, the playboy. Dane is instantly attracted to the beautiful girl who enters the Frat House Party and they instantly connect – in more ways than one.

After I finished it I was like ‘What the Heck!’  Be warned Felicia LOVES cliffhangers. I love the story it is like a modern sexier Cinderella story. I love Korah, she is someone I can connect with but Dane is someone I would love to slap more than once. I cannot wait for the next book, I love Felicia’s work; don’t stop doing what you’re doing!

Wow! I really loved this book it had everything in it I love in books the romance especially! It had me from the very beginning, I seriously can't wait for the next book.
I loved how I felt when I read it and how I came to know the characters and feel what the characters might be feeling and I love that!
I loved the romance between Isis and David and how he is such an old romantic, some parts were just a good giggle and made me smile.
I highly recommend this book it's a page turner and hard to put down!

Arielle Caldwell began writing in grade school but never pursued a career in it until early 2012. Excerpt Rye's PoV

My time here is dwindling. Everything around me – my body, the transition from winter to spring, the height chart marking the growth of my daughter, Emily – reminds me that the hourglass that is my life has only a few grains of sand left.

It’s my first thought this morning. I awoke early for a fundraiser, the Big Walk for March of Dimes. I start off with my daily routine. I jump in the shower, trying not to notice how much the droplets of water hurt my skin. The sting is too much this morning. I get out quickly, dry off and throw my hair in a simple ponytail at the base of my neck. I catch my reflection in the mirror and stare at myself for a minute.

Just a little longer? So I can watch Em grow up?

Sadly, my mirror doesn’t have an answer for me.

"Come on, Em!" I call to my daughter. "Get your shoes on, before we’re late."

I turn away from the mirror, then hurry into the living room and grab Emily by the hand.

"You ready Em?" I ask. Whatever dread or fear I feel in front of my mirror fades at the sight of Em’s beautiful blue eyes. 

She looks up at me with the biggest smile, and exclaims, "Yes!"

We hop in the car and head towards the Walk. My daughter’s eyes are glowing. 

"Mama, this is going to be the best walk ever," she almost squeals in excitement. The innocence of my little angel never fails to humble me.

She doesn’t yet understand that this might be my last Walk with her. 

"Yes, honey, this is going to be the best walk ever," I agree. 

Review:
Where do I even start with this amazing book? I have never found a book that I could actually feel the emotions that where being described by the author. I found the love shared between Rye Silcox and Jett Conner a true love that people only find once in a life time. They had a long hard rode full of tragedy and laughter. Rye’s daughter Emily seemed to know from the first day she met him. Emily wanted her mother to be happy and she also wanted a father. I love how Derinda Love captures the true meaning of family in this story. It teaches many lessons that people go years without truly figuring out in life until it is too late. The main being we need today only. Make memories that when the day is gone, and the people of today have gone we can look back to see just how happy we were. In those memories we can keep our loved ones alive.

I also loved how she included Nashville, Tennessee in her book and the book conventions there. All I can say is I am now hooked on her books, and I can’t wait to read another book by her.
