I ended up reading this book in a day! Addictive springs to mind but absolutely brilliant!

Anastasia and her son Ura, flee from her abusive husband. She wanted to start a new life in America with her son so when her husband offered her that life, she took and left Ukraine. She never thought that her husband would turn out to be abusive and would treat her like a slave. Anastasia and her son flee to Bangor where she ends up renting an apartment above a bar from guy named Jaxson.

Jaxson owns his own bar and lives above it. He is a born player and doesn't believe in love or relationships that is until he meets Anastasia. He knows that she's hiding something big but doesn't what. He rents her the apartment but vows that he will find out what her story is. 

They are both amazing characters and they were really hard not to like. I absolutely love this story and it was so addictive, i couldn't put it down. It's brimming with drama and secrets. Highly recommend!

I absolutely positively LOVED this book! I have never laughed so hard in my life! Sasha is a great character and very funny.

Sasha is a bartender who has a horrible track record with guys. She is looking for the right guy and she thinks she finds it in Bash. This sexy, brown-eyed guy she meets and can't get out of her mind. The only problem, Bash has a complicated secret that might break up Sasha and Bash before they have even begun. Sasha is so funny at times and there was plenty of laugh out loud moments. This book is so enjoyable and a light comedy story that kept me hooked from the very beginning. The characters were very easy to love especially Sasha and her very funny situations. There are some complicated times for Bash and Sasha when Bash's secret is revealed and they both have to decide if their relationship is worth surviving it. 

I can't say anything else but GO AND READ IT!! You will not be disappointed and you will have a load of laughs throughout. I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm glad i had the opportunity to read it. Brilliant!!

When it comes to relationships, I have really bad luck. Each time I meet a guy, I cross my fingers and hope he is at least halfway normal. I’m so tired of dealing with crybabies and freak shows that I could just scream. At this point, I’m so close to just joining a convent, taking the vow of chastity, and calling it quits with men entirely. Well, I probably don’t need to go to that extreme... I mean who am I kidding? There's no way I could be a nun. But becoming an old crotchety lady with 20 cats lurking around? Now THAT is a definite possibility. That is until I see him, my brown-eyed stallion man, swooping in to save me from an unforeseen wrinkly old balls attack, and then... he is gone. Well, not gone completely, because I can’t stop fantasizing about him. 
I fantasize about him so much that when I finally do see him again, I make a complete and total ass of myself. Several times in fact. How I do not drop dead of embarrassment right then and there is beyond me. 
So, remember I said I have really bad luck? Well, sit back, grab a glass of wine or your favorite mixed drink, and let me tell you how it all started, and how it all ends...

Love this book, has everything I want in a book and more. A must read …

This is the first book in the Chained Series by SK Fordham.

I loved this book from the beginning, it builds up suspense and has a pretty awesome cliffhanger ending.  Stella is a young mother with two boys who lost her husband under very tragic circumstances. This book begins with the young mum, having to sell her hobby farm and move her whole life, so she can start over somewhere where she can heal. Her husband was perfect in her eyes and she was very much in love with him.  As Stella, goes through her grieving process, you see flashbacks of her past life with her husband including this gorgeous line:

“Stel, I love you. I will always be with you. You’re young and you are beautiful. Find love again.”

Stella longed for her husband, Jack. She had lots of trouble moving on, as a matter of fact I don’t think she really wanted to move on. Every memory for her is painful.

Finding love again is not easy for Stella, although the hot, sexy surgeon Dean stumbles into her life, she doesn’t quickly fall for him.  Her life takes a different turn with Dean and he makes her see that love is worth taking a chance on.

The book has sad and emotional undertones and a plot which thickens as you get further into the book because all is not as it seems. 

I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, and lucky for me it is out, so I will be leaping straight back into my Kindle to read it. Excellent debut novel and I give this book five bright shiny stars. I can thoroughly recommend the read.

This is a very unconventional story and story that you definitely have to start reading with an open mind. That's what i got told when i received a copy to review. I was rather shocked by certain things in the book as this is the first book that i have read that is about Gender Identity Disorder.

Lex is a 28 year old that has her own business and has done well for herself but her past is not one she is proud of. Her father used to abuse her, physically and mentally and the hard part was Lex was dealing with issues of her own that her father was willing to overlook. Her very first boyfriend was the same and abused her physically for a long time but she has come out the other stronger and smarter. The only problem, she finds it hard to let anyone in and when Gage, the sexy lawyer expresses an interest, her first reaction is to run and hide.

You really do need to have an open mind when reading this story but i'm sure if you do, then you will completely love Lex and Gage's story. I didn't think the story was a tad bit long but i never got bored and i really enjoyed the whole story. I'm so glad i had the opportunity to read Lex.

NOTE: This is a story of finding oneself, through the horrors and pains of life. This isn't just a story about love. It's a story about anguish. This is a story about Lex's journey to acceptance.
