*REVIEW* - The Suicide Princess by Anthony Bryan

Reviewer - Kaylene
Rating - 5 Stars

The Suicide Princess is a very sexy, very clever book written by a fantastic new author Anthony Bryan.   This is a story that once you start you find it hard to stop.  Some of it is a bit cringe worthy but that’s what makes it different to other stories.   Stephanie is a woman who is fairly easy to relate to, stuck in a marriage that is at best mundane, she longs for some escapism.  Her husband is a gorgeous man, perfect really but that’s not enough and she searches for something more to make her life more interesting.  In walks Derrick, I was not sure about him from the start but at some point you realise that he is not what you think he is.  He’s a character that you love to hate and hate to love.  I don’t want to say anything else because it will give too much away.

I liked the way the characters were developed and the side characters played vital parts in the storyline.  The book is quite unique and very different from what is out there at the moment,  in that it explores so much but it also has a well thought out story with many twists and turns along the way.   The ending of this book is awesome and I really enjoyed the way the story flowed.

I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future and I give this story 5 golden stars.

Stephanie Bradford is a young, attractive, and successful District Attorney on her way to the top. She has the near-perfect life, with an amazing husband, and she has it all in the palm of her hand. When her marriage falls into a romantic rut, Stephanie is skilfully swooned by a charming, mysterious and intriguing stranger who looks to be the answer to all of her fantasies. A whirlwind and erotic affair quickly spirals out of control, and before long, she learns that things aren't always as they appear and people are rarely who they seem. One poor decision becomes the catalyst for a series of events that rips her life apart, and Stephanie is left with nothing but the thirst for revenge against the man who viciously stole everything from her. The Suicide Princess is a sexually charged roller coaster ride where nothing is as it seems and everything is at stake!

*REVIEW* - What The Heart Needs (Book 2 in the Soulmate Series) by Kelli McCracken

Reviewer : Donna
Rating : 5 Stars

This book had so many secrets that i wasn't sure how this book was going to go. Dylan and Heaven are engaged to be married but Dylan's father is not pleased with their relationship. Their is a secret that Layne is keeping from his best friend Dylan and I'm glad that in this book, you find out more about Layne and how he is involved in the storyline. Heaven is having trouble controlling her abilities and her life is being threatened by someone. There was so much to this book from the start and I was gripped. I have loved this series so far and I'm looking forward to Book 3, What The Heart Takes in 2014. Heaven and Dylan are so easy to love as characters and Layne was also a great character to adore. Definitely a recommended read.

Bound by destiny, can their love survive those that would tear them apart?

Dylan McBride thought he had it all when Heaven Lewis agreed to marry him. Yet the secrets surrounding them continue to build. Dylan's father won't accept his relationship with Heaven, but Dylan refuses to let his dad come between them. Even if it means giving up his life as a rock star.

His refusal brings a turn of events that may cost him Heaven's life. The only person he can count on for help is Layne. While his best friend agrees to help, Dylan can tell Layne is keeping secrets of his own.

Among the chaos, Heaven is adjusting to her new found abilities when she discovers they're evolving. As if psychic powers aren't enough to deal with, someone is making threats on her life. Threats that will unravel family secrets and put friendships to the test. All for What the Heart Needs.

*REVIEW* - What The Heart Wants (Book 1 of the Soulmate Series) by Kelli McCracken

Rating : 4 Stars

Dylan is a rockstar and he has been having dreams for months about a girl who he describes as an angel. Heaven dreams of a guy that she's never met before but feels so connected to him. Eventually they meet and both of their worlds are turned upside down. They have such a beautiful and intense connection from the start and Dylan realizes that he can sense Heaven's emotions no matter where she is. When I first started reading this book, I thought it was going to be a boy meets girl and they fall in love etc. but there was so much more to Dylan and Heaven and as you continue through the book, you discover why they are truly soulmates. I found their meeting took a bit too long to happen but once it did, I was really really hooked. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves the idea of soulmates and a romance that has an element of intrigue from the start.

Do dreams foretell the future? Are there soul connections that go deeper than love?

Dylan McBride is tired of his rock star lifestyle. Between the nosy press and crazed fans, all he wants is to be left alone...and find the angel who's been plaguing his dreams for months. Maybe longer.

When he meets Heaven Lewis, his world is turned upside down. Not only is she the girl from his dreams, he notices he can sense her emotions at any place and time.

Being involved with a celebrity is the last thing Heaven imagined...or wanted. Especially since her last relationship nightmare. Yet resisting Dylan doesn't come easy. Something about him pulls at her heart. And her soul.

Will Dylan's celebrity status be too much for Heaven, or can he convince her to surrender to What the Heart Wants?

*REVIEW* - Ghosts of Demons Past by Matt Schariti

Rating : 5 Stars

So words to describe this book are Fantastic, funny and totally gripping. I was totally gripped from the start of this book. Seth Gabriel is a ghost hunter. No one knows he can talk to ghosts but he has made a business out of it by getting rid of ghosts. Business is going well and because of the things he can see, he has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. He gets hired by Courtney Reeves to get rid of a ghost in her house and Evan Gallagher hires him because he believes his wife is possessed by a demon but the problem that Seth doesn't believe in demons but Evan is offering a lot of money to help him which Seth can't refuse. You do find out a lot about Seth and his life and you go along. At first I didn't think much of Seth but as the story processes, you understand more about Seth and the things he's sees. I was really hooked on this book and I had to make myself put it down at times. There were a few funny moments. One I laughed out loud at for ages. Just an all round great book. I was so pleased I got to read and it a a bit gutted I finished it so quick. Highly recommend this book. It is so worth reading, you will not be disappointed. Loved it!

“Well, Mr. Gabriel. What do you know about…demons?”

For most people, that’s a question that never comes up. Medium Seth Gabriel isn’t most people and for him, it’s another normal day in an abnormal life.

It’s bad enough that his love life has seen better days but his personal problems are only the half of it. Seth’s ghost hunting business, SG Cleaning Services hasn’t seen a client in weeks and he’s desperate for a paycheck. Things look up when two potential clients seek him out.

Courtney Reeves hires Seth to investigate a paranormal disturbance in her home. On the surface it’s a run of the mill cleaning job but when you deal with the dead for a living, there’s no such thing as routine. The close of the case is the start of even bigger problems and Seth will find that, while there’s nothing to fear from the dead, the living are another story.

When the nervous and persistent Evan Gallagher enters his life, Seth sees the promise of a big payday. There’s only one catch. The wealthy lawyer thinks his wife is possessed by a demon. Seth doesn’t believe in demons…not anymore, but the money is too good to turn down. Is Evan crazy or is he one hundred percent sane? As Seth digs deeper, he’ll ask the same question of himself.

For a guy who’s coasted through life on not much more than Greek takeout, tequila, and attitude, Seth’s going to have to dig deep to survive what will turn out to be a very bad week.

*REVIEW* - Forever (Part 3 of the Enigma Trilogy) by Aimee Ash

Wow. Wow. Wow! I loved the ending to this trilogy. This book was just genius and I couldn't have expected anything more. The great thing about this book is the amount of decisions and situations that arose throughout the book. At one point, I felt all kinds of emotions that Kate was feeling especially the feeling of confusion. Kate had a lot of choices to make in this book and some things were completely out of her hands. I have loved this whole trilogy from start to finish and all the characters were so easy to like even if sometimes that made stupid decisions. I don't want to give then ending away so the only thing I will say is I'm so, so, so, happy with the way everything ended but I am completely gutted that I've finished it. It’s one where I felt sad for finishing it but I'm looking forward to reading some more by Aimee Ash and experiencing new stories. Amazing Author!

In the wake of the exposure of a shocking secret, Kate is trying to come to terms with the fact that her boyfriend, Sebastian, had unknowingly fathered a child. His son, Lucas, survived a fatal car crash, but his mother, Kelly, remains in a coma. Now Sebastian has to take on the role of being a father, which appears to immediately change him in unforeseeable ways. Kate begins to wonder what this revelation will mean for their relationship, especially if Kelly survives, as it is clear from her diary that she wants Sebastian back.

With Jack finding forgiveness in his heart, he vows to stand by his twin brother and to support him and his nephew, but he is adamant that Kelly is trouble and cannot forgive her for the destruction she caused. With Sebastian embracing his role as a father, Lucas becomes his number one priority and he begins to distance himself from Kate. She feels shattered that her boyfriend is pushing her away despite giving him her support, which leaves her feeling incredibly confused. Deciding that he needs some space to try and figure everything out, Sebastian flees to Amador with Alissa, his own mother, and Lucas, leaving Kate feeling more alone than ever.

With Sebastian asking his brother to look out for Kate while he’s gone, a new friendship blossoms between them. Kate begins to get to know the real Jack Jones and a bond begins to form between the two of them. With Sebastian away, the fate of their relationship begins to hang in the balance and Kate begins to wonder what her future holds, or more importantly—who will be in it. Not only is she finding herself confused and battling with her emotions, Kate also begins to experience reoccurring dreams, but what do they mean?

Do dreams really come true?

*REVIEW* - Secrets (Part 2 in the Enigma Trilogy) by Aimee Ash

With Kate and Seb together now, they uncovered a bunch of letters saying that Seb and Jack's birth mother is still alive and they tell Jack but he doesn't care as the betrayal of Seb and Kate has devastated him so he turns his back on them. Kate and Seb both discover later that Jack is trying to track down their birth mother. There is a lot of secrets that are uncovered in this book and a lot of times I was really shocked by what secrets came out. I loved this book so much and I actually like it better than Enigma as I felt Kate was a lot more mature and was so annoying. She seemed stronger and was more assertive in this book. Great book, Highly recommended read.

In the light of their betrayal, Kate and Sebastian realize the latest secret they've uncovered must be shared with Jack-a series of letters confirming that his and Sebastian's birth mother is alive. They rush to the airport to find him before he boards his plane. But despite Jack being validated in what he believed to be true all along, he turns his back on his brother and tells Kate that he doesn't understand how he can love her, yet hate her at the same time.

Back in Long Beach, Kate and Sebastian discover that Jack didn't leave on his flight and is on a hunt to find his birth mom, Alissa. With summer break arriving, they set off to find the twins' biological mom whom they never knew-and what they discover is unexpected. Their mom isn't alone; a young girl who they suspect to be their half-sister is living with her, hidden away in a remote town.

Soon they discover yet another series of lies that Jonathan has left behind. Not only will the truth expose many surprises for them, but the un-expecting will also be affected in unimaginable ways.

With every revelation uncovered, a new secret is exposed-and with every exposure a string of lies are unravelled, all with far reaching consequences.
