Great second book in the Take Over Series ...

Kalon, is the second book in the Take Over series. It continues where the first book finished and is the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God. 

Krinos, is a tough woman, very tough and she really shines through in this portion of the story. We are introduced to a number of new characters, which all add to the intrigue of the story line. It also shows a softer side to Krinos, although she would hate for me to say that. 

Who wouldn't love Stefanos? He really is a Greek God in all ways. He's definitely one of my current book boyfriends. Just love his dominant and demanding ways.

This is a very quick read, but I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment. I give this book five stars.

*REVIEW* Finding Judgement (Centre Games #2) by Natalie Gayle

The second involves around Rory. The centre agent with canine DNA as well as human DNA. He is fun, sweet and a really good guy. Him and his team are set a mission from their boos, Tom Anderson to investigate cows at a dairy ranch. 

TJ is a feisty, smart women who's father and brother died in a accident, he mother has cancer and she is has to look after her younger siblings, Marcus and Katie. She has taken over her father's business, Walsh Haulage but the business isn't making a lot of money and she is finding it hard to make ends meet. 

Rory and TJ meet when Tj is ambushed while driving one of her trucks and it's Rory who swoops in and saves the day. The attraction is there from the word go but TJ doesn't want a relationship as she has too many family problems at the present time. Lots of situations occur that result in Rory and TJ tying the knot in front of her mother at her bedside.

 I really don't want to give too much away because it would be so easy to but TJ is in a bad situation and it's Rory and the team that are they to help and protect her and her family. 

Great second book in the series, really loved Rory in the first book so i was glad he has his own story. I felt that the book in parts, was a bit long winded and some chapters really didn't need to be there for the story to flow but it didn't harm the book as it could make you feel an even bigger connection with the characters. Really looking forward to reading book 3, Dylan's story. I love the snippets we see of Quade and Jazz in this book. I'm really impatient when it comes to there story but i'm sure it will be worth the wait. Definitely worth recommend for these HOT, SEXY group of males we get to read about.

* REVIEW * - Encore by A.M. Madden

Encore is the third installment in the Back Up Series by AM Madden.  This series follows the Rock Band: Devil's Lair (DL).  In the first two books, there was a lot of different changes and evolving of the characters.  The members of the band all grew because of their experiences with each other.  They have lived through spending time together during their tours, sadness, love, tragedy, and have grown closer. 

This book had me in an emotional state for majority of the book.  There were times when I laughed so hard I had tears. I also had moments of sadness that made me teary eyed. And there was definitely a moment where my heart melted in to a puddle of nothing at the sweetness factor.  Actually a few times I felt my heart melt for these characters that I have grown to adore.  

Encore centers on three relationships.  The first is of Jack and Leila, after they have been married, where Front & Center left off.  They are making adjustments and transitions of life as a couple and as rockstars.  The second is of Evan and Liz.  Evan's dreams are coming to fruition and has been living in a world where his life has come full circle.  He gained a sister and a father when secrets of his mother were revealed.  Their band, the Cliffhangers, has been given the great opportunity to open for DL on tour.  The last relationship is from Lori and Matt.  Lori is fickle in making up her mind.  She is in the relationship with Matt, but feels that there is something missing. She has become a great Manager for the Cliffhangers. She is distrustful of Matt, but feels she is settling for him because she doesn't feel the spark between them. 

All of these couples will go through a few obstacles before finding answers to questions that they have been asking.  Will Jack and Leila find the balance?  Will everything be fine with Evan and Liz? Is Lori and Matt a passing phase?  This book is beautifully written.  There are a few surprises that I was unaware of, but I was pleasantly surprised.  I cried at all the sappy moments and feel sad that this chapter in their lives are coming to a conclusion.  This series has been a great one and I have fallen in love with each and everyone of them for being so close knitted.  One Click it!

His bootfalls were getting closer… louder… I took a deep breath and didn’t dare exhale in fear that he would hear me. Somehow, I was able to stifle my tears, but something happened that was out of my control. My thought caught from my sobbing. Tom heard it. The foot steps intensified, beating a path to the closet door. Seth, still firmly holding me, swung around so I was facing the inside of the closet. I focused on the faded floral pattern of the shelf lining that was barely visible in the dark lighting of the closet. I focused on anything but the sound of Tom McClain’s approaching footsteps. Then a loud clicking sound made it impossible. The sound of a shot gun barrel banging into place. He didn’t even bother opening the door. 

Bang! Bang! Then silence.

Out of instinct I jumped into the shelf before me and cowered behind the extra blankets mother kept neatly stored on the shelf. I was stunned that I was still alive, until reality set in. Seth had slumped down against the door of the closet, unrecognizable and motionless. The shotgun blast had obliterated his once handsome face. 

I am supposed to hate Colton McClain, but I can’t. When the police showed up the next day, they found Colton locked in his father’s pick-up a block away, hungry, thirsty and distraught. He was taken away by the state and put in foster care because none of his relatives wanted to have anything to do with the Black Horse name. My surviving brothers Randy and Tim could never know about Colton and I. They’ve had it out for him for years. Bloodlines run thick around here.
