I really love this book so much!
Zoey grew up with a mother that neglected her and in the end Zoey ended up in foster care and later she settles in with the James family. She now has four brothers and runs a garage and speed shop with her dad. She has a ex-husband, Rob who won't leave her alone and stalks her any chance he gets. Her dad has to hire a new mechanic for the garage so her mum wants her to help her get the apartment ready for the new mechanic. This is when she meets Andy, the sexy, muscular new mechanic. There is a instant attraction from the start but Zoey vows not to get involved with him as he works for her dad. They get very close, as friends but nothing ever goes smoothly for these two. Zoey has to tell him that nothing can happen between them but not only that, Rob is persistence on getting another chance with Zoey and won't leave her alone. Andy comes to her rescue multiple times but this makes it even harder to resist the chemistry between herself and Andy.
Such a sweet and enjoyable read that kept me hooked. It was just a book that i could get into quite quickly and it helped that the characters were easy to like. Andy was just so sweet and every women's dream guy. I'm glad that this is book one and their story has only just begun as there is a book two. Highly recommend and i'm sure everyone will love this enjoyable read. This is the first book i have read by this author but it definitely won't be the last.
This is book one of three for characters Zoey and Andy.
Zoey James is in a funk. She has been through more in her twenty-three years than most people have experienced in their entire lives. After her ex-husband tries to take everything she’s worked so hard for, she makes one rule: Never date someone she works with.
When her father’s newly hired mechanic moves into the apartment above their family-run business, Zoey’s lonely life is flipped upside down.
As a teenager, New Zealand native, Andy Tate’s family is tragically killed in an accident, and he is taken in by his aunt and uncle. Andy is pulled away from the only place he’s ever known as home, and moved halfway around the world to Northern California.
Ten years and one failed marriage later, Andy finds himself living in a new city, with a new job at James Racing, and living in an apartment next door to Zoey, his new boss’s beautiful and damaged daughter.
After an interesting chain of events over one weekend, Andy and Zoey form an unexpected bond. Even though he’s the only one who can get through to her, she will do all that she can to keep him at a distance and not break her one rule.
Will Andy be the reason for Zoey to start living her life again, or will she continue on her downward spiral, until she finally hits rock bottom?
This book is intended for readers over age 18 due to mature content.
