Without doubt a five star read, looking forward to more in this series ...

Between by Lisa Swallow is the first book in a series of books and the first book of this genre (Paranormal/Urban Fantasy) that I have read. 

Rose is just existing in her world after an accident that left her in hospital for quite some time.  Her accident left her with some interesting issues.  After her accident and recovery, she finds herself a new place to live (if you can call it that - a very small one bedroom).  She also finds herself back at the same hospital where she recovered, in a job as a Porter.  She finds herself with unexplainable episodes after the accident and is quite perturbed by them.  After meeting Finn at the hospital, she finds that he brings about strange reactions.  She also meets Alek who she finds unpredictable and a more than a little strange.  These three play an important role in the book and interact with each other in strange ways. I won’t go on here because I do not want to spoil the plot of the book.

I really enjoyed this story and it made me think about things differently, in that, perhaps there are other possibilities out there. Lisa writes well and the book flows. As stated before, I have never read this genre before, so I was unsure whether I would like it or not.  I found that I loved it and look forward to more stories from Lisa in the future.  I took my time reading this book, not because it was not interesting, just that life got in the way. However, slow I was, this was without doubt a five star read for me. Congratulations Lisa on a great read.  I look forward to reading more in this series.
