BOOK BLAST!!

Someone to Listen by A. T. Douglas

BIO:
After growing up in the Pacific Northwest, A.T. Douglas ventured away from her quiet hometown for the bustle of college in the city of Boston.  Though she studied astronomy and was a science geek at heart, she always had a love for the written word and a story swirling in her head. It wasn't until she became addicted to the Young Adult/New Adult Contemporary Romance genres that she embraced her renewed passion for reading by self-publishing her debut novel, Someone to Listen.  Fueled by coffee and her love of music, she strives to turn daydreams and the realities of life into words the world can read.  Her writing is inspired by personal experiences and memories from her past.  She hopes to inspire others to break the silence and get their stories out into the world.   A.T. Douglas lives in New Hampshire with her husband and son and wishes desperately that there were more hours in the day for family, reading, and writing.

BOOK SYNOPSIS:
Abby wanted a fresh start, a new life thousands of miles away from her four difficult years of high school and the rumors that followed her.  As she begins her college experience in Boston, she finds friendship and love she didn’t expect, people who show her that she doesn’t have to be alone.
She is torn between two paths, inexplicably drawn to two completely different guys.  One understands her and reminds her of who she used to be, the broken shadow of a person wandering through life but not truly living.  The other is the key to her future, the guiding hand that she waited for years to pull her out of the darkness and into the light.
When Abby’s newfound happiness and renewed existence are threatened, everything changes.  She can fall back to that dark place within her or fight to save her future.
She faces the same struggle she has all along: getting someone to hear her, finding someone to believe her.
All she ever needed was someone to listen.

This is book one in a series of three. Book two "Love Me?" coming soon.

REVIEW

I really enjoyed this book from the moment Aiden and Jeni’s worlds crashed together – Literally! I found it hard to put down but alas my kids MADE me put it down at times. The things I love about this kind of book is the chase where Aiden woos Jeni and Jeni trying to decide if she can trust him or not. I love how down to earth Jeni is, her character is very well built and she knows what she wants and is a strong minded person, some of her slang she uses I just had to laugh at! Aiden he is the most perfect guy any girl would be lucky to have kind, gentle, caring and rich, did I mention rich . Their love for each other just grows. Even though Aiden’s Father does not agree with their relationship and is very rude towards her and basically just dismisses her, Aiden comforts her and always confirms his feelings for her. The romance between them is strong and electrifying and I love books where I can feel it as I read it. I did find a few things a bit repetitive but not overly bad. There are a fair few steamy parts of course which K. E Osborn has written extremely well. As the book proceeds it brings suspense where you are just hoping for the best outcome. Be warned K. E. Osborn leaves you hanging! I seriously cannot wait for the next book to come out.
I highly recommend this book if you like a good romance and suspense!

`Tug of War' by K. Larsen

Tug of WarReviewer: Jess

Rating: 5 Stars

Synopsis:

Impulsive, YES. Irresponsible, SURE. Necessary, PROBABLY. Going to end badly, most likely. Does any of that matter to me, no. I decided that I can't please everyone so this week my only goal is to please me. I’m a selfish cow but I can’t seem to help it. I’m Clara Lord. I own Bloodline’s Tattoo Parlor, have a filthy mouth, no filter and a really strong objection to bossy idiots, pet names and wealthy men.

You will hate me, love me or love to hate me but either way it doesn’t matter. Everything I touch turns to crap and it’s all my fault. See, I lived through hell. Then I escaped hell and carefully spent the next eight years crafting a perfect little life until Domini Napoli screwed it all up. Now nothings right. Everything’s wrong and all my secrets are coming out.

REVIEW

For those of you not familiar with my reviews I should let you know I HATE SPOILERS! I won't tell you much about a book because I'm a fan of going into books blind. I'll often avoid reading the blurb or I'll read the blurb, purchase the book, categorise it and then leave it in my library until I can't remember what it's about anymore. It's just way more fun for me that way and I highly recommend it!

Tug of War by K. Larsen is the kind of book that will bring you relief after a long stretch of same old same olds.
Clara Lord is the owner of a tattoo parlour with a beautiful and fulfilling life but a hidden past. When she meets Dominic Napoli on a weekend away with her girlfriends everything is turned upside down and she's made to not only come clean but assess herself and make some serious changes.
When I read the prologue I fell in love with Clara instantly! She seemed a strong character who knew herself and was unapologetic about who she is... but then I nearly got lost at "Everything I touch turns to crap and it's all my fault". My first thought at that was that I may be encountering another character who has so much potential but just ends up whinny and self-doubting. My second thought was that I was walking into another book that hinges around a character who's created a ridiculous misunderstanding that needs to remain unresolved until the end. Is anyone with me? It's just an overused lazy plot ploy if you ask me and oh so frustrating for the reader who's screaming at the character, "Are you truly that stupid! Get a backbone! Own your mistakes! Stand up for yourself!"
I digress. Two minutes into the next chapter and I was HOOKED! It had me up way past my bed time and then reaching for my iPhone (don't ask) as soon as I woke in the morning.
This book was just absolutely delightful! The characters were well developed and realistic. I loved Clara and really wanted to see her do well and Larsen delivered! What a breath of fresh air!
The plot drops were delivered with perfect timing. It was like, "Pow! You thought you knew but you didn't know! Take that!" So well done!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. Overall, an easy read with delightful characters that you want to spend your time with. Just brilliant!

Wow once again Felicia Tatum has written a fantastic story with love, adventure and surprises! I seriously love her writing!

This is the second book in The White Aura series and I'm totally looking forward to the next one.
I enjoy reading through Scott's, Aiden's and Olivia's POV's, I like knowing what's going on in each of their heads.
In this story they are searching for the descendant to stop the curse to save Olivia's life. Plus her Brother showing up adds another spanner to the works as he is being followed so now they have so much more to deal with. I love how involved you can become with the characters.
Thanks so much Felicia for giving me the opportunity to read ad review your wonderful book!

REVIEW:  5 Stars

Wow this book has it all from action to romance to adventure. When I first started this book I didn't know what to expect but It had me from the first chapter, then it was BAM just none stop! The love interests for Casey I thought would never end but I enjoyed that love triangle or square whichever you want to call it.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters some just annoyed me with their attitudes aka Trevor, but the book wouldn't be the same without him.
I highly recommend this book especially if you like Tomorrow, When The War Began but it is more intense and fast pace. Such a well written book!
Thanks so much to Theresa Oliver for letting me read this book!

Release for Incomplete by Lindy Zart

Blurb:

There are three absolute truths in Grayson Lee’s life:

1. His existence was a mistake.

2. No one is good enough for his best friend, Lily Jacobs, especially not him.

3. He loves her anyway.

Author Bio:
I've been writing since I was a wee lass. I was reading before that; possibly while still in the womb. Don't think about that too much.

I started out with short horror stories and poetry. I was terrible at it. The poems not so much, but the stories were awful.

I decided to finish a book (and I DO mean finish--I'd started plenty throughout the years) when I was in my mid-twenties (so not that long ago because I'm young and will forever stay that way). Again, not my best work.

But that's the thing about writing; it improves with time. (It's also a good thing to know your work can't possibly be any worse than it was when you first started.)

What I love most about writing is having people tell me how much they enjoy my work; how my writing touches them; makes them feel intensely.

Bringing a reader to laughter or tears is a wonderful feeling for a writer, and no, I'm not sadistic. *insert evil laugh HERE* It means I got them to feel, to respond to something I created.

Also, I just like to make stuff up and put it down on paper. I have an endless supply of stories in my head; lots of stuff to share with the world.

Happy Reading!
