**REVIEW** Beautiful Bastard (Beautiful Bastard, #1) by Christina Lauren

Rating: 4.5 Stars

Blurb

An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He's exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family's massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who'd been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he's never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe's so tempting he's willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they're willing to lose in order to win each other.

Review

Holy Heck! What did I just read? I haven't devoured a book as quickly as I did Beautiful Bastard in such a long time. It was like a breath of fresh air.

My heart sat in my throat from the very beginning, to the very end. It was racing with anticipation at the words before me. I can't believe I didn't read this book sooner. These authors really know how to captivate their audience from that first chapter. I honestly couldn't put it down.

Chloe and Bennett's story is one of angst, love and, hate all rolled into one. Their relationship began as hate and soon transforms into something they each totally don't expect. Oh and the sex is WOW! HOT! I loved it all and I can't wait to dive into the next book.

I've needed a book like this to awaken my reading passion again. It's certainly done that, I'm going to devour the rest of the series and I cannot wait! Thanks Christina and Lauren for writing such a wonderful story and pulling me into the pages and living with these characters.

Billionaire Caleb Blackstone lives in the glamorous world of wealth and success, with every material luxury. But the moment he sees Brooke Casterley, none of that matters. Caleb is filled with a raw, undeniable need that he can’t ignore…for a girl who is so completely different from everything and everyone he’s ever known.

Only Brooke isn’t looking for love. She knows all too well just how much damage the wrong guy can do. Still, what sane, broke British girl can resist the charms of an incredibly sexy, chivalrous billionaire? What starts as flirtation quickly turns into all-consuming passion. Nothing could have prepared her for the searing heat of Caleb’s touch—or just how much she craves him.
Their whirlwind romance is the stuff of high-society fantasy—but for every moment of pleasure, there is a cost. Past mistakes and tragedy shadow them both…and falling for him might be the kind of trouble she can’t afford.

Review

Filthy Rich was my first ever Raine Miller book, and I'm happy to say it won't be my last.
The story between Caleb Blackstone and Brooke Casterley is a heartwarming one. At the start I can easily say that I wasn't sure if I liked Caleb or not. It's usually how it always starts for me, not really liking the alpha's arrogant, up themselves attitude but then they do something that seriously melts my heart and that's it then, I fall head over heels and that's how it went with Caleb. He's filthy rich and falls for the one girl who captures him at first glace. I love how he doesn't put pressure on her for anything, and is there to comfort her in her times of need. Swoon!

Brooke has been through some traumatic stuff throughout her life. When Caleb comes into her world she's shown a love that she's not experienced before. The chemistry between these two is something out of a fairytale. The love that forms between Caleb and Brooke is a powerful kind, you can feel it as you read Raine's words.

I loved the characters, although I become super annoyed at Caleb's mother, but hey who cares about her. There have been some twists and turns thrown into this story.

As I said, a wonderful story and well worth the read. I'll be reading more of Raine's books in the future.
