How do you trust someone who is everything you’re trying to avoid? Harper Lindell is having a bad day. You know, if a bad day consists of getting fired from your cushy job and then catching your boyfriend red handed playing hide the salami. Sick of meeting the same guys over and over, Harper decides to try her luck at Internet dating. How bad could it be? Right? Tate Washington wasn’t looking to meet anyone. Still dealing with the consequences of his one serious relationship, all he’s interested in is revamping his family’s behind-the-times café. He didn’t plan on seeing the beautiful receptionist from Argo again, walking into his life to use his café as a dating hub, and using him as a BFF. Can Harper really trust Tate, who is everything she thinks she needs to steer clear of? Can Tate wait while Harper works through her insecurities and fears?

Excerpt
Tate chuckles as he picks up a tomato and throws it to me. Thanking my quick reflexes, I catch it mid-air. “Here, cut those,” he says, gesturing to the pile of tomatoes already stacked on the bench next to where he is preparing bacon. I pop the tomato down and head to wash my hands. Once I return to the counter, Tate approaches me with an apron and wraps his arms around me as he ties the strings in front. We get stuck into it and work in companionable silence for the next few minutes. “I’m sorry about the other day,” he says, not pausing for a second from the bacon he is cutting. “I know,” I respond. “I’m glad we’re okay.” “Me, too.” Silence descends once more, and we continue our tasks before Tate speaks again. “The other day, you said how you’ve never felt an instant connection with someone before.” “Yeah?” I ask warily, wondering if I freaked him out. “I didn’t get to tell you that I feel the same. When we’re together, it feels right.” “Yeah … it does.” Even though we don’t mention another thing about it, the silence doesn’t come again as the shots keep flowing and the music on the old radio gets louder and louder. We are laughing and carrying on and there is more ‘accidental’ touching on both sides. ‘Black Widow’ by Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora flows through the speakers and I sigh in happiness. “I love this song.” I leave my tomatoes behind to shake my hips all over the kitchen to the beat, singing along with the lyrics. Warmth covers my back as two strong hands land on my hips. Tate pushes into me from behind and moves his hips along with my own or forces my hips to move along with his—I’m not sure. “You’re so fucking sexy, Harper,” he whispers into my ear. “I won’t be able to keep this friendship platonic if you keep shaking your ass like that in my kitchen.” His warm breath flows over my collarbone as he nuzzles my neck and goosebumps break out across my skin. Tate must notice as he lifts his head and slowly peppers small, light kisses along the crease of my shoulder. My head rolls back onto his shoulder, and my body liquefies at the intimate and sensual touch. He’s breaking down my walls. My common sense. He’s slowly softening me, melting me so he can mould me as he pleases, and it’s working. As the realisation hits me, I jump out of Tate’s arms, grab hold of his hand, and pull him to the middle of the kitchen. I smile seductively at him and wink. “I’ll just have to keep you in line and focused then.” He throws his head back and laughs, allowing me to ignore the moment and lead him around the centre workbench as we shake, shimmy, and wiggle to ‘Shake it Off’ by Taylor Swift, which is now playing on the stereo.

*REVIEW* Bureau Under Siege (Supernatural Enforcement Bureau #3) by A.K. Michaels

Reviewer: Donna
Rating: 5 Stars

Fantastic third book of the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau. This book sees us finding out more about Creed, one of Ronan's elite guards. In the other books he seems so hard and cold but i'm glad to see a lot more to Creed and i loved him in Bureau Under Siege. Don't want to give much away because believe me, there are a few shock surprises. The great thing about this series is i have never been disappointed. There is enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat, just the way i like it! Bureau Under Siege has a whole load of POV especially from Ronan, Creed and Sam and that's brilliant because we find out more about the couples we fell in love with in the previous book. Ronan and Starr, Sam and Charmaine and Creed and his mate which he finds in this book (That's the only bit of gossip your getting from me) As well as the storyline, i have loved the covers! They are amazing and i feel like when you see them, you know the book is going to be just as good and they all certainly would. If you haven't read book 1 and 2, The Dragon and The Vampire (book 1) and The Imprisoned Dragon and The Witch are out now so go and get them. Definitely one series i highly recommend!!

Creed’s past has finally caught up with him and it’s not just the dangerous elite guard that is in the firing line. No, everyone involved in the Supernatural Enforcement Bureau headquarters is at risk. Men, women and children are in danger as a Vampire with no mercy, or thought for others, comes to town…bringing his own small army with him.
The only way to make sure everyone is safe is to work together, striking first when the opportunity presents itself.
Ronan, Sam and Starr work with Creed to keep everyone safe from harm but is it a losing battle? Especially as Ronan fights to keep Starr’s secret from people he loves at the same time! Can they survive unscathed? Can Ronan keep Starr’s secret? Can Creed finally put his past to rest and find peace?
Read Supernatural Enforcement Bureau, Book 3, Bureau Under Siege, to find out.
Packed with hot Vampires, Wolves and even a Dragon!

Book Trailer

Excerpt

I wake to the sound of a drill-saw attempting to channel through a concrete pylon right next to my head.
“Why?” I grunt. Only it sounds more like “uggghhh”, even to my ears. Apparently being woken by drill-saw seriously impedes my ability to form words. I reach my hand out and slam something in front of me, presumably the drill-saw, most likely a clock radio. Regardless, the action makes the noise stop, thank hell.
Ugh. While the blast of noise has stopped, there’s still a ringing in my head of dizzy-making proportions. Not to mention that my tongue tastes like I’ve been eating road-kill. Yuck.
I squint one eye open and then scrunch my lid shut immediately as protection from the harsh yellow light coming in through the window framed by black-flowered curtains. What fresh hell is this? Who has opened my—
Shit.
I don’t have black-flowered curtains.
I inch open my lid at snail’s pace, this time preparing myself for the assault of light from the left of the room. Yep. Black floral curtains still there.
I open my eyes wider and take in more of the room in front of me. Aside from the window, there’s a black bedside table with a digital clock on the top of it, right next to a red lamp. The floor is covered in a shaggy-looking cream carpet, a black skirt and red lacy bra lying on top of it.
Oh, no. Please, please no …
I slowly raise the white sheet from my body. Yep, exactly as I’d suspected.
My black skirt and red bra.
This, of course, leaves only one question. But do I really want to look? Can I?
I rack my brain, trying to put together the pieces of the night before. There was the party at Joe’s. I’d gone there with Kate, because Dave and the band were playing. Michael. I saw Michael. Tequila. Lots of tequila.
I glanced down at my hand. Seven little lipstick lines mar its surface. One for each shot. At least I can remember that.
But how the hell did I get here? And, more importantly, where is here?

* REVIEW * - Pure Punishment by TL Smith

Rating : 5 Stars

One, Two.
Who to kill?
Three, four.
You better open your door.
Five, six.
Cut or nick?
Seven, eight.
Don’t party too late.
Nine, ten.
Watch your gate.

My name is Kayla. Would you like to play a game with me? I promise to only make you bleed and possibly scream.

Are you ready for some fun?

Fantastic read, the books just keep getting better from this author …
Another dark and twisted tale from TL Smith and this one certainly does not disappoint.  This book is full of suspense and some romance thrown in for good measure and keeps you guessing right till the end.
One of the things you learn about this book quickly is that there is a lot more to it than first meets the eye. It focusses on two women Kayla and Kristy, polar opposites of each other. Kayla is one messed up individual and she’s definitely not a woman to cross. Kristy, on the other hand is gentle, kind and comes across as innocent, she just wants to get her studies finished with no real possibilities of anything else for her.
Kayla works for Tyke, a man who only wants a strict working relationship, but Kayla wants more, much more. Kai (a police detective) has a firm interest in Kristy and most definitely cannot stay away from her.  He wants her and helps to protect her.
Unfortunately, due to the plotline I cannot go into too much detail without destroying the book for you all, but let me tell you, it’s a must read.  I loved this book TL Smith and I will be lining up for more from you in the future.  Five star read for me.

When they first meet, they all dislike one another but they are forced to work together otherwise them and everyone will die.

It's brilliant reading it and i loved every minute. It kept me on my the edge of my seat as i wasn't sure how it was going to end. Who was going to survive? was a big question i was asking throughout the story as they do get into a lot of sticky situations especially when talking and persuading each god to help them. *REVIEW* An Acute Attraction (The Attraction Series #1) by A.J. Walters

Reviewer: Donna
Rating: 4 Stars

A really fun and exciting story to read about two people meeting in a hotel and spending time together which becomes more for both of them.

Isabel chambers is a mother of two boys and has had a troubled past with her ex-husband and since being out of her life, she is trying to fins herself again. She isn't confident and hasn't had time to herself in years so with one of her sons old enough to stay at home on his own and the other staying with his grandparents, she decides to check in to a hotel and have some me time but she never expect to meet Marc Sanders.

Marc is staying in the same hotel on business, he's a professor. He's tall and all kinds of sexy. Isabel strkes up the courage to talk to him after he casual speaks to her and sparks fly between them.

They both make the most of the week by spending as much time together but Marc is having a few issues which end up pulling Isabel straight into. Marc is being blackmailed and it will now put Isabel in danger but Marc is clear that nothing will happen to her.

A Acute Attraction ends abruptly so i'm dying to read the second book, A Constant Attraction to find out what happens between Isabel and Marc. There are an awesome couple to read about. The sex is oh so HOT! I love that Marc is giving Isabel her confidence back and it's great to see her bloom as the story goes on. Now all this blackmail is complicating what was, a great time between these two but i believe it's only going to get better. A brilliant story to read and one definitely worth reading!

*REVIEW* Blind Attraction (Reckless Beat #1) by Eden Summers

Reviewer: Donna
Rating: 5 Stars

I absolutely loved this book and i'm a huge fan of Rock Star stories and Mitchell Davis is a great lead guitarist and one that is attraction to Alana Shelton from the minute he sees her.

Alana Shelton is a bit different. She grew up with her mother on a retreat that her mother set up for abused victims. Her mother was raped and she has always made Alana believe that men are pig and shouldn't be trusted. Alana was home schooled and hasn't really experienced anything that typical teenagers do. Going to see Reckless Beat with her friend Kate was a completely new experience and she doesn't expect the lead guitarist to constantly glance at her all through the concert. There's chemistry is from the start and Mitchell asks her for a drink after concert but when a angry ex worker who has just been sacked, a vase gets thrown and Alana loses her sight temporary. Mitchell thinks it's his fault and tells her he will look after her until he leaves for his tour.  From there, they commit to spending time together but Mitchell is prepares to go off with his band on a promo tour so this new friendship/relationship could become a great thing or a problem.

It's really brilliant to read and their isn't anything that i didn't like about this book. The characters were amazing, even Blake, Mitchell's band mate is fun to read about and this band is completely to different to other ones i have read in other books. They seem really clean cut and are all nice and friendly. It brings a whole new meaning to Rock and Roll in Blind Attraction. I was really addicted to this book and i couldn't put it down. I'm surprised i put it down to go to bed! It's the first book i have read from Eden Summers and i can't wait to read more. Definitely one to go and buy!

He can seduce with a single glance.

Peering down at a sea of fans, rock star, Mitchell Davies can't deny the innocent beauty of a woman in the front row. He'll stop at nothing to get to know her. When a public altercation leaves her weak and defenseless, he takes the opportunity to be her savior.

She's been sheltered from the world.

Alana Shelton wants to spread her wings and experience life away from her restrictive upbringing. But she isn't prepared for a gorgeous stranger to sweep her off her feet while at her most vulnerable.

Attraction will bring them together, but their pasts will try to tear them apart.

He wants to teach her how to trust, but she'll show him how to love. In a glamorous world of rock-and-roll, only time will tell if they're up for the challenge.
