Just One Night was based around Jase and Nicole, One Special Night is about Nicole's brother and Jase's best friend Tommy. Tommy has been dumped by his fiancée for another man and seeing Nicole and Jase, how happy they are on their wedding day, makes him reflect what had happened to him. 

Jasmine or as the marines know her "Doc" has pulled her together and made herself go to Jase and Nicole's wedding. She served with Jase and after a bomb exploded and left Jase, Jasmine and their fellow marines injured in Afghanistan, they are home for leave. Jasmine got scarred and is now finding it hard to come to terms about what happened but she is hoping to start rebuilding her life.

Tommy and Jasmine meet at the wedding and sparks fly between them from their first encounter. They both decide to throw caution to the wind and have one special night together which i tell, they do! Hot Hot Hot can't begin to describe there night. They is a lot of issues that they both deal with while they get to know one another. 

I really enjoyed One Special Night and i find these novellas quite addictive. I have rated this one a 4 star instead of 5 stars as i gave Just One Night only because i felt the story between Nicole and Jase had more depth, mainly because they have know each other from kids and they have loved each other from the start. They are both great books but very different stories. I was gutted when it finished as i would have loved it to have continued. I'm really glad i had the opportunity to read this.

Love a good marine story and what was not to love about Just One Night. Jase has just graduated college and is off on his first tour to Afghanistan with the marines. Jase and his best mate Tommy have a graduation party and Tommy's home and the only person Jase is dying to see is Nicole, Tommy's older sister. He has always had feelings for her but has never acted on them. He grew up with Tommy and Nicole and as he grew up, his feelings for Nicole grew. Jase can't believe his leaving and wishes he had the courage to tell her or act on his feelings but it was never the right time.

Nicole has always wanted Jase for as long as she can remember. She is gutted he's leaving and wishes she had given to her attraction for him. 

They both leave their worries to the side and have one amazing night together full of sex, sex and did i mention sex! One explosive night for the pair of them leaves them wanting more but it makes it that more complicated.

I really enjoyed Just One Night and sometimes i really love novellas and this novella is why. It was packed with addictive drama from the start and i couldn't help but be hooked. I wanted it to go on and on and on. I already have One Special Night where we find out more about Tommy. I loved Jase and Nicole and their relationship. Really great characters especially the sexy, hot marine!

*REVIEW* Bridge Over The Atlantic by Lisa J. Hobman

I love the idea of when a tragic accident happens that takes your partner and love of your life away from you, that life still goes on and that love is still around and that you can find love again. This is what happens to Mallory.

Mallory is engaged to Sam and they are blissfully happy together. He asks her to move to Scotland with him and she agrees. Mallory finds it hard leaving Yorkshire where all her friends are but she sees this as her and Sam's new start. The day of moving day arrives and Sam has to finish some work up so Mallory makes the journey on her own and will Sam up there but that doesn't happen. Sam's is in a car accident and dies. Mallory feels like her life has stopped but she still stays in Scotland, in the cottage her and Sam picked out. 

Like i said, life goes on and Mallory meets Greg. He the grumpy bartender of the local pub who is really mean to her when they first meet but they eventually break the ice and become good friends. They are both going through the same thing. Greg is still trying to move on from his girlfriend disappearing and presumed dead when she went to Pakistan and climbed the K2. They both help each other to move on and come to terms with what has happen to them.

It was a great friendship to start with and i loved the build up to them becoming great friends. At times i thought it wasn't going to happen, the way Greg is so mean to her at first. I found Greg to be quite funny and times though and their continuous banter was brilliant to read.

It doesn't take long for Greg to start falling for Mallory but Greg hides it a lot as he knows Mallory doesn't think of him like that. When Mallory finds out, she can't cope and says she doesn't feel the same way.

I personally believe that was rubbish and i couldn't help shouting at the book on occasions. Mallory just doesn't know how to move on from Sam and it shows but the confusion of Greg and Mallory's growing relationship. There was lots of very emotional parts for both Mallory and Greg. The thing i love about Lisa J. Hobman's books is that the way she's writes, makes you feel like you are there and experiencing the grief, the happiest, everything they experience. She's really brings the story to the reader. It's truly brilliant!

Greg and Mallory both go through a lot to be together. A lot of times, i wasn't sure that they were actually going to be together in there. It didn't seem like it at times.

I really love this book and it kept me up during the night, i had to read it before i went to bed! I couldn't wait to see what happened. It was very addictive. Highly recommend to anyone. I'm sure you will love it as much as i did.

* REVIEW * - Wildcard Volume One by Missy Johnson

A bad boy male POV, a fun book with a great story... 

Wildcard is the first volume in a three part series from Missy Johnson.  This is my first read for Missy Johnson and it really was a fabulous book all round.  It made me laugh, it made me feel sad and it also made me feel for a very bad, cocky and arrogant Ryder Stevens, who is a world, top ranking tennis player. 

Basically, Ryder is a bored tennis player and just needs something else in his life other than the scores of women that he beds and his tennis life.  He has bedded over two hundred and forty six women in the past twelve months alone and the story starts out showing him as this player (literally) and I most definitely did not like his character, however as the story moves forward I really liked him ... a lot. 

 

He has a hot tub injury, and he ends up with a very embarrassing injury which seems to help to tame him.  Laid up after the injury, he is bored and starts reading through his fan mail, but after just a few of the many love letters, he gives up.  However, he finds one single letter from a very sick child fan, who is anything but complimentary towards Ryder.  After reading the letter he makes contact with the young boy and by doing so meets his mother Scarlett.  They build a rapport after a few phone calls and of course things start to happen.  

There is one laugh out loud moment in the book, where I just about spat my coffee out across my Kindle.  It was hilarious and you will know when you reach it.   However, there were others too, where I smiled, it’s just that kind of book.

I loved reading about the attraction between Ryder and Scarlett as it bloomed between them and how it changed Ryder.  They make a lovely couple.

There is a freaking cliff hanger at the end, which I absolutely did not see coming, and I am now clamouring for the next book in the series.  This book was great and I am absolutely itching for book three in this series.

 I gave this book 4.5 stars, go grab yourself a copy, I can thoroughly recommend it.
