* REVIEW * - Calla Lily (Gilded Flower #2) by Vivian Winslow

Reviewer : Kaylene
Rating : 3.75 Stars

The second in the series, a good read ...

Calla Lily is the second book in a three part series by Vivian Winslow.  It starts out as you would expect after Lily runs from Gustavo back to New York. On return to New York she finds out that her father's company is not doing so well and so she takes over the reigns as CEO.

We are introduced to a new character Alejandro in this book and we see more interaction with her family and friends. Gustavo makes an appearance and goes after Lilly, but she is more resilient to his charms this time.  Gustavo is still very much married, but the attraction between the pair is palpable.  I can imagine more from these two in the final book.

I found this book a little less interesting than Gilded Lily which I really enjoyed.  Some of the writing seemed a bit short and not enough information, but of course I understand that it is a short novella and will be concluded in the final part Tiger Lily.  This is a perfect read if you want short, sharp, sexy and fun.

Having experienced a profound personal and sexual awakening during her solo honeymoon to Brazil, New York socialite Lily Baron rushes back to New York upon hearing the news that her father has fallen ill. Now, Lily must take the helm of the Baron Media empire and fend off a high-stakes hostile takeover attempt. With the fate of the company hanging in the balance, will Lily be able to resist the advances of the luring, unwanted suitor in the boardroom as well as the bedroom? Things get steamy in this highly anticipated sequel to Gilded Lily

Calla Lily is the 2nd book in the Lily Trilogy of The Gilded Flower Series
