* REVIEW * - Saviour (Saviour #1) by Lesley Jones

Reviewer : Kaylene
Rating : 5 Stars

Holy hotcakes, this is one spicy book.  You can save me any time Gabriel,  any time ....

Well Lesley Jones you have delivered another wonderful book, Saviour is going to be one of my favourites along with Carnage and most probably Resolution when I finish reading it.

In Saviour we start out by meeting Lauren, a women in her 40’s who’s in an abusive relationship with her husband Jason.   It seems that it wasn't always physically abusive but has turned out that way and she is struggling with the fact that she loves him (perhaps not in love with him) and the fact that she has been married to him for over 26 years.  She has adult children who have left home and she’s faced day in and day out with this man who treats her with so much disrespect that she has no self confidence left.   One day she wakes up and decides it all over and she is going to leave him.   She goes out with her girlfriends and lets them know what’s been going on in her life.  They’re all shocked as they thought she had a wonderful relationship with Jason.  On her night out she meets Gabriel and that’s when things start to heat up.  Wow, Gabriel is hot, yes that’s right H.O.T.  Definitely my book boyfriend of the moment and any women’s fantasy, especially one who’s older because Gabe is much younger than Lauren and the attraction to each other is instant.   Love at first sight especially for Gabe who has never been in a relationship for more than two minutes, he’s a love em and leave em type.

I loved this book, I love the way it was written as it had me from the start and once again Lesley Jones I had my nose stuck in my Kindle until well after 2:30 am this morning to finish it.  I immediately started reading Resolution the second book in the series.   I am very fortunate to have meet Lesley Jones while reviewing her latest book Carnage and I hope to be reading her stories for as long as she is producing them.   Fantastic books and I can thoroughly recommend them.  Do yourself a favour and read this book.

Lauren has decided her marriage is over, but has yet to tell Jay, her abusive husband of the past twenty five years. On a night out with girlfriends, she has a few drinks and musters the courage to shamefully come clean over the abuse she has suffered over the years.

Gabriel joins his brothers for a Friday night drink at a local bar, thirty five, good looking and single after a very brief, failed marriage, all he is ever on the lookout for is a hook up....Even names aren't important to him...Straight sex, no complications.

Watch as their worlds collide, neither of them prepared for the effect each will have on the other. The chemistry is instant and overwhelming and has the possibility to destroy them but will the mind blowing sex be enough to keep them together and overcome each of their pasts?

Their story is sometimes harrowing and heartbreaking and touches on subjects all too often avoided. Don't expect a hearts and flowers romance read, although that is there too, along with some very funny moments.
