Enjoyable short read, gotta love the bad boy rocker...
The Ace of Spades by Elle Bright follows the story of a bad boy rocker Jackson and his love for his childhood sweetheart Melody. When something bad happens in Jackson's life he tells Melody to move on with her life and find happiness elsewhere.
His love for Melody stays with him and its eight years before they find each other again. Jackson is determined to win her back but Melody has moved on with her life, in which she is comfortable and happy.
This book did not disappoint, but if you are looking for a steamy read this isn't for you. The book is more about the love they have for each other and what happened in their past, present and future. The character development for a short book was quite good.
I really liked this book, it's a short read but I found it hard to put down. I give this book 4 stars and would recommend it to those who like a quick read.
Reckless, bad boy rocker Jackson “Black Jack” Blackner has everything a man could want, yet he hides from the pain of his past behind sex and drugs. Lost in a downward spiral, he reaches out to the only person who ever truly cared about him, the childhood friend he pushed away.
Promising businesswoman Melody Davis follows all the rules. Until Jackson crashes back into her life and turns her straight-laced world upside down. Dragged into his world of self-destructive indulgence, Melody must fight to save the boy she knew from the man he has become.
