* REVIEW * - Ledger by Kemme Michaels

Reviewer : Kaylene
Rating : 4.5 Stars

Great story, found myself wanting more ....

Ledger a hot, sexy, rich bar owner sees Cam Foster as a woman lost in world of pain and  finds himself compelled to be with and help her out of the cage that she finds herself bound to. Cam’s past is anything but fairy tale, married to a cruel man who not only physically harms her but also psychologically abuses her she is made to fit his mould of the “perfect” trophy wife.  Garrett  is a man who’s only concerned himself, his public opinion and the perceptions of his life. He is a powerful man and uses that power against Cam and Ledger.  Ledger calls Cam his dove because ultimately he wants to set her free to be herself and not something someone else has made her  to be or expects of her.

The book has a story to tell in that you should never allow yourself to be controlled and owned by another and that abuse of any kind is wrong. Cam turns out to be her saviour in more ways than one and he guides her out of the darkness that was her life.

I enjoyed this book, it had everything you would want, a story, a hot guy and some great romance.  I would recommend this book and gave it 4.5 stars.

Ledger sees the defeat in her eyes the moment she sits at the bar, devastated and beautiful. The emptiness in her gaze he understands to his core, and he's instantly compelled to help this brown-haired beauty fight the source of her pain. Determined and intense, he needs to use his strength to help her find her own. Cam Foster, in that instant, becomes the dove he wants to free from her cage. From the first night, he needs her.

Cruelly, the past refuses to let her go. The lingering manipulation holds her in that cage as the control she lived under continues to crush the woman she wants to become. Even though Ledger offers her heated passion and a safe haven, she can't find her way out.

Desire and danger fight to pull her life in two directions…but those forces may crumble as Ledger fights harder than any barrier he and his dove face.
